Andy & Bronte

Founders & Filmmakers

Andy & I got together when we were 17 and how life has changed since then! Just a couple of kids we were, now 6 years married with two of our own, Van & Darcie! No rest for the wicked but life couldn't be better (or busier!). Andy is a true Gemini, with his split personality - an accountant come videographer, two professions that couldn't be further apart! Pre-kids we did a lot of traveling and documented our trips along the way. It was suggested we get into the wedding biz and we have never looked back!

FUN FACT: Andy is a lawn fanatic. I don't know what features in his camera roll more, photos of the lawn or the kids!? We now have a putting green in the front yard - need I say more!

FUNNY STORY: With Jessie & I being friends for so long, Jessie's parents are like my own! On our wedding night we realised we had 'adjoining rooms' with Jessie's folks... not ideal to say the least haha!

New Dad to a ridgeback pup, it seems like more work than the real thing haha. I started out making fun GoPro videos in my backyard when the first model came out in 2011. Over time my creative skills and gear grew and I started traveling the world while documenting my adventures. This eventuated into friends and small businesses wanting my visual masterpieces, and that’s when it hit me; I can pursue my passion as a career and create life long memories for loved up couples all over the world - winning!

FUN FACT: Allie and I have known each other for 10 years. She applied for the job here at White Leaf Films without knowing I worked here - BANG she fit in like a glove with the team!

FUNNY STORY: Great content takes great practice and experience. Let's just say I learnt one of my many lessons the hard way while flying my drone on an 18 day round-trip to Uluru and back to the Gold Coast. On day 3, I was going for a panning drone shot following the Jeeps that were crossing a bridge and my drone (flying backwards) flew straight into the tallest gumtree over a dried river bed like a mumma bird to her nest. It took an hour to figure out we couldn't reach it safely and had to chop it down with a chainsaw to collect the 3 days of unbacked up footage.

RIP beloved drone.

Wife to Marc, mother to Stevie and frequently unable to use my inside voice. I'm a firm believer that your wedding day should be entirely about you, and who you are as a couple. There is no cookie-cutter way to get married! So if that mean's you want to get married in your undies with your dog's as your bridal party and your Grandma as your flower girl, then you go glen coco!

FUN FACT: Bronte and I have been best friends for over 30 years - we met when we were in kindy and have been by each others side ever since.

FUNNY STORY: Back in the day when I was out on my own photographing weddings, Andy tagged along with me one day to eagerly film his first ever wedding. We jumped in my car and headed out to meet the bride at our first location when Andy pulled out a full packed lunch with accompanying snacks. I still remember laughing at him and thinking “you are not going to have time to eat that”. And I was right. We pulled into Macca’s drive through on our way home from the wedding and you could say the rest is history!

Admin & Social Media Guru

Hi! I'm Allie, the admin and social media queen that holds the team together and keeps everyone organised! You may see me from time-to-time assisting at your wedding. I am a full time dog mum to my little sausage dog Snoopy (aka Snoop Dog). He keeps me busy in between my work, study and Saturday night chilli margaritas. I have a passion for being creative and assisting our couples through every step of the way... because who doesn't love, LOVE.

FUN FACT: I grew up in the beautiful town of Lennox Head where I went to high school with Ricky and I haven't been able to get rid of him since.

Hey, I’m David! A pommie on the Gold Coast that made the move to Australia on my own a week after my 22nd birthday in 2018. When I’m not shooting weddings you’ll find me on hikes or heading down to the beach… usually still taking pictures! I never imagined myself becoming a photographer, but once I picked up my first camera it was love at first shoot.

FUN FACT: I first got into photography when my grandad left me his old film camera collection. He was a keen photographer and took such great care of his gear, some of the cameras are over 60 years old but still look brand new!

FUNNY STORY: I absolutely love dogs, so whenever I’m around friends and family’s furry friends my camera always comes out. After Christmas one year I’d bought myself a brand new (and my most expensive) lens. As I was taking pictures of the dogs running, a tennis ball was thrown directly towards me and hit smack bam right on the front of my shiny new lens.. safe to say the ball went away after that!
